Skills & Expertise

- At the age of 4, Payton developed a passion for softball. Initially, her parents opted to instruct her to hit exclusively from the left side, despite her natural right-handedness. From the tender age of 4 until she turned 9, she honed her skills all across the field.
- At the age of 9, Payton aspired to play middle infield and swiftly asserted her dominance in those positions among her peers. Additionally, she embarked on learning how to play third base, serving as her backup position.
- By the time she turned 14, Payton embraced the title of a utility player. She was determined to master every position on the field, eager to lend her support to the team wherever and whenever required.
- During high school, Payton's coach entrusted her with roles at third base, shortstop, and second base. Observing the top players in each of these positions, she diligently absorbed their techniques and qualities, striving to emulate their excellence.
- A born leader, Payton commands respect from both her teammates and coaches alike. Beyond the field, she's a committed student, consistently excelling in her studies and perpetually seeking avenues for self-improvement.
- Among her favorite softball players currently in college are Jayda Coleman and Bella Dayton. Payton also finds great joy in following Jenae Jefferson's professional career and often revisits highlights from Nadia Taylor's professional journey.
